Scouts

A Scout is a boy or girl aged between 11 and 15 years.

Scouting is about learning new skills while having a lot of fun hiking, camping, canoeing, sailing, skiing, other water activities and much much more! Scouting will give your son/daughter a unique responsibility (to him/herself and others) not only to be trustworthy, but honest and loyal as well.

A Scout is part of a Patrol, which is a group of 6-8 other young people. The patrol is run by Patrol Leader (PL) who is appointed by the rest of the Patrol. S/he is assisted by an Assistant Patrol Leader (APL) who is appointed by the Patrol Leader. The PL will guide & teach the other Scouts through the activities and award scheme (badges). The PL, with guidance from the Adult Scout Leader, run the Scout Troop - this is called the Patrol System.
