Rover Scouts

Rover Scouts are young men and women aged 18 to 25 years of age. Prior experience in the Scouting movement is not required to become a Rover, neither is previous outdoor activities experience.

A Rover Crew has no set number of participants; they can range from a handful to more than 20.

Rover Scouts personalise their programs to suit their members and each Crew are fully independent and responsible for managing their own groups, projects and campsites. Rovering helps develop leadership abilities and an appreciation of the value of helping other people through service activities, both within Scouting and in the wider community. Challenging outdoor activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, sailing, caving, ski-touring, canyoning, four-wheel driving, rock-climbing, and scuba diving can all form part of a Rover Scout's calendar.
